Treasures of the Past
April 2004

"Copy of this Plan drawn for Sir J. C. Sherbrooke April 1815."

Detail of Ft. George, several batteries, & Castine Village taken from Sketch of the Position of Castine in the Bay of Penobscot with references. The original map, located at the Nova Scotia Archives, was drawn by Capt. Bonneycastle of the Royal Engineers apparently for the purpose of recording the situation of Castine and its defenses at the time of the September 1814 - April 1815 British occupation.

A color copy of this map is in the Wilson Museum Archives.
