Don Tenney

Tree Committee Chair

With the slogan “Under the Elms and By the Sea,” it’s no surprise that elm trees are an iconic part of Castine’s natural beauty. Learn about the history of elms in North America, and especially those in Castine, during a lavishly illustrated lecture by Don Tenney, Chair of the Tree Committee. Don has been a member of the Tree Committee since 2016 as well as the Tree Warden since September of 2021.

Cosponsored by the Castine Garden Club and the Wilson Museum, this presentation is free of charge and can be attended in-person or virtually.

The program is part of the Wilson Museum’s program series Connecting to Collections: Curiosity, Culture, Climate made possible through the generous support of Bangor Savings Bank.
