Tuesday, February 21 - Designs in Jewelry
10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 2:00 to 4:00 PM
Throughout time and across culture, people have decorated their belongings. At the museum, you can see metal jewelry decorated with engravings from Ethiopia, items made with elaborate beadwork by Native Americans, patterned bronze pins from the European Bronze Age, and more. As the first of three activity days during February vacation week, on Tuesday, come make your own jewelry inspired by designs in the collection. Provided materials will include wooden bangles, snap bracelets, puff paint, clay, beads, and seashells.
