Families are welcome to drop in between 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Feel free to email Haley at education@wilsonmuseum.org with questions.

Wednesday, February 22 - Tools of Use
10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 2:00 to 4:00 PM

Tools have been vital for the development of civilizations and improving quality of life. On Wednesday, compare tools used by a variety of cultures with those from the significant Maine industries of forestry, shipbuilding, and carpentry. Visitors can get a hands-on feel for these trades by rolling a log with a peavey, caulking planks on a wooden “ship,” and making shingles on draw shave.
