February Vacation Week: Geology

  • Hutchins Education Center 112 Perkins Street Castine, ME 04421 United States (map)

Join us at the Wilson Museum for an exciting February Vacation Week program focused on geology! Designed for kids from kindergarten to 8th grade, this week-long program promises to be filled with fun and educational activities for all.

From Monday, February 19, to Friday, February 23, children will have the opportunity to explore the wonders of geology through hands-on experiments, engaging demonstrations, and interactive sessions. They will learn about various aspects of geology, including rocks, minerals, fossils, and even volcanoes. Through a series of age-appropriate activities, they will gain a deeper understanding of the Earth’s history and formation.

Parents can drop off their children between 9 and 10 am, knowing they will be in a safe and enriching environment. Our experienced and enthusiastic staff will ensure that each child receives the attention and guidance they need to make the most out of their geology experience.

With pick-up between 3 and 4 pm, parents have the flexibility to plan their days accordingly. However, children must bring their own lunch and snacks, allowing them to refuel and energize.

This fantastic week-long program costs $25 per day or $100 for all five days. This fee covers all materials and resources needed for the activities, ensuring each child has everything they need to explore the world of geology.

Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity for your child to discover the fascinating world beneath their feet. Sign them up by emailing education@wilsonmuseum.org. Space is limited to 8 children per day.
