Grammy-balloted singer-songwriter Gordon Thomas Ward will take his audience on a musical journey of history and Maine connection with his enchanting storytelling on Friday, June 23. Back for his fifth performance at the Wilson Museum, the evening with Gordon will feature alternative folk tunes from his upcoming album Nor’easter as well as fan-favorites from his four released albums.
Gordon provides a unique concert experience by pairing his natural storytelling and experience as a teacher with music inspired by singer-songwriters of the late 1960s through the 1970s. Listeners of all ages can experience a heartfelt connection to the past as Gordon enlivens history with extraordinary and captivating words and music about various events in American history.
In addition to the indoor seating provided in the Hutchins Education Center, visitors are welcome to enjoy the show outdoors (in fair weather) from their own lawn chairs or blankets. While there is no admission fee for the concert, donations to support further programming at the Wilson Museum will be welcome.
